Guido Canavese studies piano as self-taught man. He partecipates to the Clinics of Umbria Jazz organized by the Berklee College of Music and by Duke University in Perugia in the years 1983,1984 and 1987. guidocanavese.jpg (11751 byte)

Since 1986 till 1988 he studies with Mario Russa in the Centre of improvement jazz in Turin. In the year 1990 he gets the Diploma of piano by the Conservatory of Alessandria. He studies also Harmony and History of Music.In 1992 he starts his cooperation with Silvia Pellegrino in the group "AVORIO" as co-author and arranger for strings.Since 1997 he teaches also Harmony and Jazz Solfeggio by the "Professional Drums".Nowadays he cooperates with the "Jazz Mobile Association" teaching piano in the High Schools.

Groups he has played with: (1988) "Tardito-Pezzutti quintet"; "Jazz Studio Orchestra", "New and Old Jazz Orchestra"; "Carlo Sola Swing Machine"; "Blessing Quintet", "Avorio".

Collaborations: Gianni Basso, Emanuele Cisi, Alfredo Ponissi, Carlo Sola, L. Nocella, G. Masetti, "Fantateatro" for the realisation of a show on the History of Music.
