Since 1992 he leads a sextet (two sax., guit., piano, bass and drums), that performes original tracks mainly. The music proposed by Luciano Bertolotti Sestetto is a mix balancing jazz tradition and european contemporaneity. Nowadays, besides to his own sextet, he is the Artistic Director of a big band (Jazz Studio Orchestra) and he is also a permanent member of a quartet that turns to Duke Ellington work, especially to his less known tracks.
